Willie Gates is a Certified Public Accountant with over ten years of tax and accounting experience working with international accounting firms. Gates also has two years of supply-chain management experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.

As a Tax Manager with the ARCPA Group, Willie specializes in corporate tax compliance and planning. He assists with bookkeeping, process standardization and implementation, technical and software training and project management.

Prior to joining the ARCPA Group, he worked with Post Holdings Inc., a multi-billion-dollar CPG holding company headquartered in St. Louis. In the role of Senior Tax Accountant II, Willie managed Corporate Tax Compliance, Provision and Financial Reporting procedures along with various other tasks.

He worked with Post’s operations team as a packaging manager responsible for: strategic planning, contract negotiations and management, cost savings projects, and managing supply-chain at over forty plants across the US and Canada. Gates also tracked substrate markets and publications aiding in subsidiary budget setting and providing market outlook commentary to the respective executive teams to inform decisions on product launches, development, pricing etc.

Prior to Post, he worked with Abeles & Hoffman, P.C. as a Senior Tax Accountant, and was a Senior Associate in the Business Tax Services division at KPMG, LLP before that.

Gates has also partnered with Intuit Turbo Tax over the years as a Tax Expert assisting dozens of clients during spring tax season. This role has been an opportunity for CE across varying income and entity types as well as client engagement.

Willie holds a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance with a concentration in Investments, and is an associate board member of the School of Accountancy Advisory Board.
